Early morning dew on a showy lady's slipper (Cypripedium reginae) living in the wild
This is a northern orchid, the showiest one we have in Ontario. It prefers to live in wet areas, many of which are currently being drained at an alarming rate to build housing developments and shopping malls in central and southern Ontario.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Wiggers World today and commenting on the Weather Vane.. when I come across others I will make a point of posting them and let you know they are up.... please feel free to copy them if you like. I took a picture of the house and it was not until a day or so later I noticed the weather vane being a fox. I have notr been that way in a while so I really need to get a better shot of it.
that's just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI ahree we are developing all the lovely countryside to too fast, and it's pretty bad in your area isn't it?
Gill where it's not quite as bad.......yet!
Really graceful!
ReplyDeleteSad to hear about the frenzy of drainage over there, it most likely will bring regret for generations to come...
God bless you!
Cezar
