Family Day/ Our World

 Going downhill as a family

In Ontario, today is Family Day (third Monday in February) and, for most Ontarians, it's a day for play and no work. The day celebrates the importance of families and family life.

 Another family going downhill

I took these photos yesterday, which was not officially Family Day but these families didn't want to wait to celebrate. And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that some of these families are celebrating AGAIN today!

 Climbing back up

At the bottom and NOT tired yet

  1. That's the best holiday I've ever heard of. And I'd rather celebrate my family today than some dead presidents! (Does that make me un-American? No, just grumpy!) Your first picture is wonderful - a great portral.

  2. I agree with Kathy, Family Day sounds like much more fun that President's Day. If you are working tho any day that you get off is great no matter what they call it.

  17. Lol … looks like those boys are carrying big blue donuts up those hills. Beautiful shots of family outings in the snow but I had to laugh and found a double meaning you likely didn’t intend when you said another family going downhill. :)

  26. Snow, when it rarely comes here, is a tragedy. We are totally unused to it and unprepared, but I always like to see it elsewhere...

  29. Fun photos! I done some snow tubing with my family and it is lots of fun. Here in the states this Monday Feb 20 is a holiday celebrating Presidents Day. The government offices are closed along with a bank holiday. A day off to spend with the holiday is a wonderful thing. Have a great week!
