May 22/Nature Notes

Columbine in my gardens this week

Various columbines have cross fertilized in my gardens and I never know exactly what a new seedling will produce for blossoms.

  13. How fun is that -- your flowers are getting together and giving you surprises! Beautiful pictures -- I hope to see some columbines when we visit Colorado next month -- I think there should still be spring blooms there! Columbine is the State flower.
