Elegance/Our World

 Elegant lighting

Truth be told, I really don't want to live in luxury BUT sometimes it's fun to imagine for just a short while what it might be like to live in a mansion such as the George Eastman House in Rochester, New York.

I do like these lights and they do look smashing in this room with high ceilings, don't you think?

    I agree with you. This mansion is a bit too over-the-top for me. But it's fun to look at. So I appreciate your photos! And it's always fun to see how the 1% live!

    i am with you... I love to visit and dream about it and enjoy, but now a place to live in. i love the lamp and the leaded glass. i would like to have beautiful leaded glass windows in my house though and someone to keep them clean for me.

    I just want all the extras that come with living in luxury: beautiful clothes, snazzy cars, a housekeeping service that comes every day, gourmet meals, fabulous trips. Sigh!

    Beautiful and elegant for sure. I wouldn't want to have to clean a place of that size would you? :) I love the hole in the ceiling skylight. Amazing architecture.

    Lovely, EG. This is elegance, but understated elegance. Last night I went to a holiday party at the home of art collectors. Now, THAT was elegance. Ostentatious elegance.
