Elegant lighting
Truth be told, I really don't want to live in luxury BUT sometimes it's fun to imagine for just a short while what it might be like to live in a mansion such as the George Eastman House in Rochester, New York.
Close up of the lights
I do like these lights and they do look smashing in this room with high ceilings, don't you think?
Skylight
Speaking of high ceilings, look at what's in the house between the second and third floor!
A welcoming statue
Here's what's back on the first floor by the front door. Please do come in, my dear.

ReplyDeleteThis really is luxury at it's best. I wonder what George would think if he could see what happen to photographic business in to day's world.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this glimpse into luxury. The lighting is awesome. B
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. This mansion is a bit too over-the-top for me. But it's fun to look at. So I appreciate your photos! And it's always fun to see how the 1% live!

I just want all the extras that come with living in luxury: beautiful clothes, snazzy cars, a housekeeping service that comes every day, gourmet meals, fabulous trips. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and elegant for sure. I wouldn't want to have to clean a place of that size would you? :) I love the hole in the ceiling skylight. Amazing architecture.
ReplyDeleteThe lighting is beautiful. It's fun to visit places like that but I wouldn't want to live there.
