Red Belly/Top Shot

For those of you who wondered last week about the red-bellied woodpecker's name HERE, guess what! 

I saw the bird again this week and this time it let me capture a glimpse of...

    Aha! Finally! All I've ever seen is the red head, but it's true - it has a red belly! Fantastic shot, EG!

    Your technical skills are wonderful; the bird is terrific, too! Love the red belly and the fact that it is contentedly eating while you snap away. It's a wonderful capture. Would you mind if I used it as m y screen saver?

    Oh, what a great shot. Love his red belly!! I have found, they become less skiddish if they get used to you. But will never be as brave as a chickadee!!!Happy Sunday. Again loved today's photo!

    That's a great shot. Now if only I could get one to visit my feeder.I had a pileated at the window feeder today,so I guess anything is possible.
