June!/Nature Notes

June is bustin' out!

I seem to have spent a lot of time lately on shore lines and in forests searching for birds. But along the way my camera insisted I take these photos as well a of birds.

Few can resist the cuteness of a chipmunk...well, for sure I cannot. Moving clockwise:

1. Mayapple flower
2. Maple keys (not sure what kind of maple)
3. Dandelion fluff
4. Dandelion flower
5. Fungi on  log

    Super summer collage EG, but the chipmunk wins for me also, I like the way you've captured him face side on and that bushy tail, too cute!

    Aw, we hardly see chipmunks here, they're a bit shy - this one's so sweet! Your camera and you found some true (non-bird) treasures:)

    You are right about the chipmunk as irresistible! And the dandelion - so mocked by grass growers, I love its presence and stature in your collage.

    Your camera is very wise, suggesting you take these non-bird photos!

    They are all beautiful but there's nothing like the bright yellow cheekiness of a dandelion to convince you that warmer weather really is here.
