Osprey/Birding

Young osprey looking over edge of nest

This nest  is atop a pole at the edge of a marsh on the southern end of Lake Simcoe very close to where the fishing is good.

Adult about to take off

Time to go fishing!

  3. Osprey's are magnificent birds and they are all over the place. We saw them in Seattle soaring over the ballpark and recently in Alabama shredding up some sort of critter to feed to its young in a nest right next to a health club.

  11. Magnificent birds. Near us a nesting spot was moved away from the tracks a few years when the Go trained started up again. Not sure if this is where you were photographing the ospreys.
