Autumn Sailing

Whitby Harbour in late September

Diehard sailors are still out and about even though it's now officially autumn.  It was late in the afternoon and this sailor had stayed out on Lake Ontario as long as possible before returning to harbour.

I like this fence (which I admit I have photographed many times) decorated with anchors.

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

  4. It looks like a good sailing day, I don't blame the sailor for wanting to catch every last minute on the water. I too like that fence.

  10. It must be fun to sail on Lake Ontario! I don't blame him for taking advantage of the nice autumn days before the ice takes over. Love the little anchors on the fence.

  11. I think I would be out on the water as much as possible before it begins to freeze. The fence makes a nice frame for the pretty boat.
