Early October

Milkweed seeds escaping on silky parachutes

When I see milkweed in my my gardens, I dig it out. BUT when I see it in a natural setting I can't resist photographing it.

Early October

This week we have experienced mixed weather: fog, rain and sun. The temperature has been rather nice throughout. Kids (and adults) still enjoy beach combing even though the leaves are changing, berries are ripening and seeds are drying. It has been a lovely fall so far.

I am Linking to Mosaic Monday HERE

  2. That is a beautiful collage. I love the name of your blog -- I don't know if that is a family name, but it makes me think of Jane Austen and her characters!

  10. I love to see milkweed as I know it attracts butterflies. Their seed pods and seeds are so pretty. I love your mosaic photos. Beautiful! We've had 10 straight days of sunshine to be interrupted by rain tomorrow. I think we might need a little bit now. :)

  14. We're having a lovely autumn in the UK too though it's causing problems in the garden as everything has stopped growing except the weeds which still think it's midsummer! I always love your collages.
