Forgotten pail alone on a beach
The sky was blue for most of the day yesterday. My husband and I were out and about enjoying the fresh air, searching for birds and looking for colour. At first it appeared the water edges were devoid of people, that only a few colourful remains of summer were there such as a little, red plastic pail,..
Lake Ontario, Port Darlington
surf and footprints,..
Lakeside cottage
and boarded-up cottages.
Lake Ontario glistening in the sun
But a few sailors were out, not yet ready to take their boats out of the water for the approaching winter and
Port Darlington light
fishers have replaced swimmers.

Great scenes. The water looks very cool now.
ReplyDeleteIf a plastic pail ever looked lonely, yours for sure does. I wonder if anyone misses it?
ReplyDeletethe diamonds in the water are fantastic and I love the rocks that are with the red pail... no rocks down here..that is a very nice cabin and one i would like to stay in..
ReplyDeleteNothing like being near the water. I like the lighthouse shot a lot.

The pail shot is superb. Frame it and hang it. The glistening water is also very nice. Looks cold already, though! Brrrrr.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful are the photos that you have made.

Little red pails are so pretty in the sand. It is hard to imagine this being the environmental plastic hazard that it might be. Your last scene at the lake is stunning and looks very much like a photo of the open sea.
ReplyDeleteHI I love the sparkles on the water. I live at the sea and I love it as the sea if forever changing.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I like the fist one, summer's glory days giving way to autumn.
ReplyDeleteI love all that glistening water...and the red bucket.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the beach in autumn. I like the one of the rocks and the red pail. Also the one of the sun dancing on the water is pretty. It must have been a cool day on the beach.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. I have travelled through that part of the province, but never stopped in the area. I've often looked out the window on a train passing close to the lakeshore, and wanted to take a break...
