Lynde Shores Conservation Area, Whitby
Walking along a woodland path can be rewarding any time of year, but in October it seems especially so.
Largest square: Squirrels sure are busy collecting as many seeds as possible to hide but also taking time to fatten up for the winter .
Moving clockwise: Colourful foliage, a girl with a bag of birdseed hoping to attract a chickadee to land on her palm full of sunflower seeds, a friendly chipmunk hoping for a handout, fallen leaf on old log, and two boys luring a chipmunk to take seeds from their hands.
I am Linking to Mosaic Monday HERE.
Please visit Michelle at Rambling Woods for more NATURE NOTES.

I remember trying to lure chipmunks to my hand and a child. Don't remember having much success though.

I am having a major war with my squirrels right now, so it's changed their cuteness factor for me. :/ The chipmunks sure are cute though!
ReplyDeleteThis collage is October personified...er...chiponified?
ReplyDelete;)
Hello Canadian friend. :) I love the chipmunks. Is there anything cuter in the world? Looks like you had a lovely time visiting the conservation area. You certainly got some brilliant photos. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! The chipmunk and squirrel are both so darn cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to tell who is cuter, the kids or the critters. It's great to see children actually outdoors, interacting with nature.
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels are really busy up here as well. Devious little rascals!
ReplyDeleteThis year I've seen several blogs with a squirrel, including me! I like the two kids intrigued by what is going on. I am leaving google + so I'm leaving you my blog addresses
