Mid Autumn Rural Ontario 2

Leafless limbs, cow corn, farm

Still autumn!

Winter may be "right around the corner" but it's not here yet!  Largest square: Red-breasted nuthatch  eating peanuts.  Moving clockwise from top right:  flying common mergansers, flying goldeneye, paddler in yellow kayak, swimming gadwall ducks, and paddler in blue kayak.

I am Linking to Mosaic Monday HERE

  2. Those kayakers (is there such a name?) are enjoying the open water while they can before winter sets in; they are hardy souls.

  12. The pics look like autumn but it sure feels like winter, we even got a sprinkling of snow here in the city. You probably got more as I was talking to someone in Aurora last night and it was snowing a lot there!

  17. Good shots!

We've got snow on the ground, and it fell yesterday, so that's more than twenty four hours on the ground...

  21. Hello fellow Canadian. :) Beautiful photos of the birds; especially the nuthatch. I just finished painting two of those little guys on a map. Don't you love the way the descend head first? I'd love to go for a kayak still this year. Here on the West Coast it's nippy but not too cold. I still might get out there once. :)
