Goldfinch fluffed up in the cold
Goldfinches are frequent visitors to our yard and also to the feeders behind the visitors centre in Algonquin Provincial Park where these photos were taken.

ReplyDeleteI love goldfinches and we have lots of them here this winter. They are too fast for me to capture decent photos of though.
ReplyDeleteI can see all the fluffy feathers, wonderful shots. They sure can go through the niger seed.

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty little critter. So how do these things keep from freezing up thataway? Seems they'd be better off heading south.

ReplyDeleteSuper shots. I love Goldfinches. The American Goldfinch is Washington's state bird. Our feeders are alive with them but only in the summer. Why?????
