Summer Begins!

My Yard on June 22nd

This is some of what you can see in my yard right now: a dark pink columbine, false indigo, ruby-red weigela, pale blue spiderwort, purple iris and overlooking it all - tadaa! - this robin (along with many other birds).

  22. hooray for summer. We were camping this past week in the mountains and I saw a pair of Robins nesting in a quaking aspen. I had no idea they summered at high altitudes.

  23. Very nice collage. I love the color of the spiderwort. Our blue ones here are dark, dark blue and I think this lighter dusky shade is much prettier!
