Bluebird

 Eastern Bluebird (Sialla sialis)

Some birds don't stick around long enough for me to take a decent shot, but this female bluebird was a natural model waiting for me to go away so it could back into her nest.

Another pose (but keeping its eye on me)

I am connecting to Stewart M's Wild Bird Wednesday HERE

  5. Beautiful shots! My Gran used to say that bluebirds were loved by fairies, because bluebirds would let fairies hitch a ride.

  6. Very nice captures CG. My Bluebird box is empty and I'm hoping I might lure one in to nest before the season is over.

  27. Not as flashy as the males but very beautiful in her more subdued colours. We only very occasionally see them here in eastern Ontario. It's a real treat when we do, so thanks for the photos.

  32. These are amazing shots! I struggle to get good shots that aren't horribly cropped. Wanting to return to the nest is a good incentive though.

  33. I so love when they pose:) Bluebirds are not only difficult to approach, they also are difficult for the camera and I don't know why! I have okay shots of the Western, but could do better with my Eastern and Mountain Bluebirds. All of them are stunners!
