Lawn ornament
This old carriage is looking a tad worn but looks stunning on this side lawn just the same. It may be an Amish or Mennonite buggy as some live in the area where this photo was taken.
Good for a ride?
The bike needs some TLC but otherwise it looks like it could still be used. One speed, though!

ReplyDeleteBest regards, Synnöve
I'm imagining that buggy was kept in immaculate condition and housed in a barn when it was still being used. Beautiful piece of workmanship.
ReplyDeleteThat old buggy looks well worn.
ReplyDeleteA wheely fun post.
ReplyDeletewhat a pretty lawn ornament.. i would like to sit in it myself... if i could climb that high. love the collectibles to
ReplyDeleteI would love to ride in that buggy!
ReplyDeleteHey, a one-speed bike took me many a mile. And even when three-speeds and 10-speeds became common fare I always thought they were a lot of trouble to concentrate on how you ride. Give me a one-speed any day!
ReplyDeletei love all these wheels!
ReplyDeleteenjoy all the old wheels. ( :
ReplyDeleteGreat wheels. I'd like to take a ride in that old buggy.
ReplyDeleteDarla
It is a beautiful buggy, it just needs a nice little bay to harness up to it!
ReplyDeleteoh, great finds!
ReplyDeleteYou really captured the beauty of your picks. We were staying in an Amish themed motel over the weekend and a drunk driver ran over an old buggy parked in front. And the skid marks ran right up to a room!
ReplyDeleteYou've got a nice selection of wheels here. I really like the old carriage. It's worn but beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou found some very nice "old sutff". Bikes with only one gear are really popular in Berlin (and probably other cities) although I think you need at least 3 gears (to help up and down any hills!).

ReplyDeleteGreat wheels post today. The buggy isn't owned by an Amish family, or it would be in top condition. Love you last shot of antique wheels.
