Cobourg Harbour last Saturday
This weekend Canadians are celebrating Thanksgiving. To all my Canadian friends: Happy Thanksgiving!
Besides eating turkey and pumpkin pie, many boaters are seriously thinking about taking their boats out of the water for the winter.
Harbour at Bond Head last Saturday
But as you can see some boaters are still not ready...even though the weather is generally quite autumn like here.

On Saturday I watched this boat being moved to it's winter spot.

Even while in harbour, the boats lend beauty and imaginary adventure to the scenery. I love seeing the eastern part of Canada as depicted in your blog and hope that you and yours are enjoying a Thanksgiving weekend filled with goodness and gratitude.
ReplyDeleteThat must be a sad day for a boat owner. Oh the long wait until they can get back into the water. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day.

ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful, with the reflections of the clouds and the masts in the water. Happy Thanksgiving!! Turkey sandwiches the rest of the week, I never get tired of them!
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to celebrate the Canadian Thanksgiving. The US Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I don't see anything wrong with celebrating the Canadian version as well.

ReplyDeleteI love images of boats in a harbor. Brings back such great memories.
ReplyDelete=)
Happy Thanksgiving (belatedly). The harbor still looks beautiful. At "our" lake (reservoir) here in Oregon, the boats are almost all gone from the marinas. Because the Corps of Engineers will start to drain it beginning next week.
