Local Farm

Sheep inside fencing at a local farm

It was a drizzly, overcast day when we stopped at a local produce stand. This time of year the farm sells pumpkins and squashes plus keeps a fenced in area where kids can see farm animals closeup.

Two sheep munching grass

Because of the drizzle, it was quiet. It was just me and the animals. The sheep paid very little attention to me but..

Three sheep, one goat and the rear end of a pony

wait! One goat and one sheep followed my every move.

Sheep and some chickens

The chickens weren't impressed with me at all!

I am linking to Saturday Critters HERE.

  12. I love the colors in these pictures! Especially the last one. I find sheep to be rather dumb, really! They seem to have no curiosity at all. They really DO need a shepherd.

  24. Every time I think of sheep and fences and pens, I think of the movie Babe. Last evening my husband and I watched 'The Amazing Race' on TV and while the participants were in Scotland, they were challenged to corral sheep through gates and into a pen - never seen such jumping sheep except in cartoons.

    Still thinking 'Babe'. :)
