Old trailer with pumpkins
Truth be told I took these photos a month ago and then forgot I had them! It's definitely not this green here any more. But we do see lots of pumpkins still being sold at the side of the road.
Old plow
This plow looks like a LOT of work to use!
In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

It has been a longtime since I have seen wooden spokes.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Loved the pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of work for sure! Not such good old days! Pretty fall setting for the pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteLove the green with the orange:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteHuge pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteGreat pumpkins!!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkins look amazing! Lovely to see the old plough. I imagine an animal would have been involved in the process, but the work would certainly have kept folk fit.
ReplyDeletewow the size of these pumpkins is are not to be sneezed at-pretty photo.
ReplyDeletePhotos of both pieces of equipment bring back memories of forgotten times.
ReplyDeleteYou know, something about pumpkins demands that somebody take a picture of them. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteMan those are some big pumpkins! Have a great week. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI see some of the huge fields around here and then think of starting out with one of these. I think I would give up farming. Nice find!
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkins are pretty big. Just think how hard it must have been to plow a field with that old plow.

That old plow has lots of character!
ReplyDeletedaddy had a plow just like that and that is how he fed us, we ate only what he grew..it made him really strong. as an adult i once tried to use it and could not push it through the dirt. that truck bed with pumpkins is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose pumpkins really do look like the cream of the crop. I love photographing them. Funny how old plows and wagons gain a certain charm that was lost to the folks in the past who likely viewed them solely as functioning tools and a means to an end.
ReplyDeleteI love the pop of orange in the first photo and of course, I love the old and rusty! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found these shots. Those are some rather large pumpkins, at least compared to ones we see here. When I look at the old trailer and plow, I can't help but think how hard farming used to be. It's difficult now, so just imagine!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, EG! It's nice to see the green. ;-)
ReplyDeletecool old stuff - those pumpkins look huge!

ReplyDeleteAh, the old plow brought back lots of childhood memories! What a great shot! AND the pumpkins are beautiful! Love your composition, too!! Hope you have a wonderful, colorful week!!
ReplyDeleteNext week, there will be no more pumpkins to be found... Enjoy them while we can!!
ReplyDeleteLove both the trailer and old plough as well as those huge pumpkins
ReplyDeleteThose are some big pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteI remember as a child watching my grandfather hitch up a pair of mules to a plow that looked a lot like this. Those people worked long and hard to provide for their families.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment. I'm hoping to be a little more "neighborly" in the coming days.
Love the pumpkins and great finds on the old plows!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures. Seriously. We sure don't see green like that here in drought ridden California!
