Wind surfing - Xhilarating!
X is for
Well, I have never tried this sport but this guy was having tons of fun!
Another wind surfer
Although the day was dreary, cold and windy, this guy seemed to be thrilled to be out sailing on the water too.
Actually, the windsurfer was coming in for a break to adjust something on his sail.
Brief stopover
His friend came in for a few minutes too.
I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE
I've always wanted to try this but never worked up the courage!
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot on the first photo! Well done Camera Girl!
ReplyDeleteJudging from the wet suits they're wearing, I'm guessing the water was rather cold.
ReplyDeleteThey are fun to watch, I am too chicken to try it though.. Great action photos.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not a sports type, I wish I could enjoy sea even if just swimming. (because of my broken ear drum, I can't since child, haha) Just surprising that they don't care the cold sea :-)

Spectacular scenery! It looks like fun yet a bit chilly!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun but way too cold for me.
ReplyDeleteDarla
It all looks a bit damp to me! I'll stay on dry land, thanks.
ReplyDeletebrrrrrr they look cold to me, but like they are having a blast.. bob would love to do this
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun, but I would like to learn to paddle board first..then maybe..maybe...I might try windsurfing. NOT! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat action shots! The water looks choppy, and cold!
ReplyDeleteYou have gotten some great shots here! I love watching these guys wind surf, but can't imagine doing this
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. I hope that water wasn't too cold for him! :D

i admire their athleticism and upper-body strength!
ReplyDeleteTerrific action shots, esp. the first one. I've not done this, either...I think it became popular after I had grown up and realized I could hurt myself doing something dangerous! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you have to be very strong to do that sport!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite the sport. Many of us with back issues can shudder at the thought!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for X - that's a toughie!
ReplyDeleteThey do seem to be having fun regardless of the temperature!! I love it!! Fun captures for the day, EG, as always!! Hope your week is going well!!
ReplyDeleteThis is really exciting to see, and great pictures even with all the action! I have never seen a windsurfer for real!
ReplyDeleteLooks cold to be windsurfing. But I know they do it in any type of weather. I live near Hood River, Oregon which is a huge windsurfing mecca.
ReplyDeleteWindsurfing is a sport, and it looks like he is having fun.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I can't help looking past them to enjoy the colours of the trees!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures, Ms. E.G.T. Guide. That looks like fun, "xhilarating" to say the least. They all picked pretty places to surf too.
ReplyDelete..
Great post for X and wonderful wind surfing photos!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you,

For him it may be tons of fun, but for me, brrr...ccccolddd:) Great shots, Camera Girl!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scenery. This is something I would not try. But admire those that do.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees.
ReplyDeleteI think you just became a sports photographer!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like your position better. Behind the lens.
ReplyDeleteGreat action photography EG. It does look like fun. Alas I was and always will be too timid to try it but I do love to observe the brave hearted :)
ReplyDeleteBy the loks of the lovely trees I would assume the water was cold .Fab pictures
ReplyDeleteGreat series! I've never heard this word (and except x-mas and Xerox did nothing come into my head - )
ReplyDeletelooks like loads of fun - two things that I love: water and wind! And they look like they can stand the cold in their wet suits. Wouldn't catch me in a skin-tight outfit, even if I could windsurf. {:-D
ReplyDeleteCool shots...Fun and full of action♪
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to find an X word, lol but you made it ! Nice pictures !
ReplyDeleteAmazing surfers! Surfing has just began to become popular here in India esp. in the state where i belong.
ReplyDeleteI was distracted by the beautiful fall foliage in the background. Great pictures!
ReplyDeletethere is a school 5 mins from my house, I son went once, and he didn't go again. I suspect he didn't like falling.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are GREAT!!! Love the fall foliage, too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks Xilerating and the photos are great, but BRRRR!!!!
