H/Alphabe-Thursday

 Old boxcar, York-Durham Heritage Railway

H is for  HERITAGE and HARDWARE, railway hardware to be exact

Last Friday, as some of you already know, my husband and I visited the York-Durham Heritage Railway in Uxbridge where there are tons of rusty HARDWARE items to photograph.

  28. Old wooden boxcar, old rusty hardware, they are ancient and were hard working. I am glad they are in some kind of outdoor museum and will not be destroyed, that would be a shame! Thanks for the trip here, it is awesome! Old iron horses put to rest, kind of sad really.

  57. What a treasure trove of old hardware. I wonder how much of it would work, or could be brought back to life - thinking of the sliders for the doors. Imagine the work, long ago, to keep it all working,
