Lamp and shadow on front door
This building looks like it might have been a church at one time. I've tried to find information on Google, though, and the address is listed as a home. If it's a home now, it's a BIG one.
More shadows, including door trim
Today I'm showing you only the doors on the front entrance, which have recently been painted. They used to be a rusty hue quite similar to the colour of the brick.
The door

ReplyDeleteSurely it was originally a church with an entrance like that.
ReplyDeleteEach time I see such a beautiful door , I'd like to see behind !

ReplyDeleteIt really looks like a church entrace.
ReplyDeletePretty shadow pictures.

It is quite charming, I love the shape of the doorway. The lamp...I like the shadow better than the real thing!!
ReplyDeleteLove the twirl. I never get tired of looking at shadows. I think they are often the poetry of a thing.
ReplyDeleteGosh I hope you took a photo of the whole building? I love the door the lamp and the wreath. Have a happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI think you wait until the sun is in just the right spot to go out and take these shadow shots!
ReplyDeleteIf the lamp was hanging down loosely would you have a limp lamp shadow?
Very graceful, elegant shadows. Everything about that door says Church.
ReplyDeletewhatever it is, if the rest of the building is as pretty as the front door it must be very lovely indeed.
ReplyDeleteThat is one delightful door!
ReplyDeleteAppealing entrance area and so love the lamp design + bonus shadow.
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like the entrance to a church! Love the shadow, EG!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! Could it also be a former one room school?
ReplyDeleteNice photos, beautiful shade!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos to light the way into the new year!
ReplyDeleteRopy Shadows
That is a very solid door. Maybe it is a huge family that lives there.
ReplyDeleteThat entry looks like it was either a church or a school...
ReplyDeleteI love the new colour of the door! really stands out!!!
I think you're right-it looks like it used to be a small church.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhoever lives in that home is surely very fortunate!
Lovely captures!!

Peace :)
It does look like a church. If it has been turned into a home, I'd love to see inside! Well, I'd love to see inside whatever it is. :) Wonderful photos!
ReplyDeletePretty door against that red brick!
ReplyDeleteSo nice! The shadows are great. And the whole door looks very interesting: hinges on two sides and an unconventional looking door pull.
ReplyDeletewhat a great building. you captured the shadow well.
ReplyDeleteLove the full shot.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the first, close-up shot.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it might be a beauty of a house or even a church. Would like to have a doorway like that.
ReplyDeleteI would love to share the Wild Blackberry Jam with you. Maybe this summer we both could pick some.

ReplyDeleteI love the old buildings. We have a church nearby, turned into a home. This is more common out here!
ReplyDeleteWelcome door, lovely old lantern light!
ReplyDeleteGreat lantern shadow. It does look like a big building for a home.
ReplyDeleteDarla
I love the lantern and the newly painted front door. Wouldn't it be interesting to see inside if it's now been made into a home?
