Frenchman's Bay railing and shadow #1
These photos were taken on March 17, a sunny but cold day. The shadows were dark and clear.

Shadows down to the dock, Darlington Point
I am linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2 HERE.
Even with the sun, it looks chilly. Maybe because it is so cold here in NC and I have cold on the brain!

It does look cold, but we do have some sun -- not a lot, but it's still 50 degrees! i do love the weather we're having this year!! Terrific shots for the day as always!!
ReplyDeleteLove the stairs/dockicture..
ReplyDeletegood lines.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the third one. I think I'm taken by the weathered wood.
ReplyDeleteJust when will it be the day to launch the boat or lean over the railing with blue and ice-free water below and warm temps above. It seems as if it's nearly summer in Denver and Dallas - how about back east in Canada and the US? Nice shadows at any rate :)
ReplyDeletegreat shots. Freezing cold here today wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteLovely tight curving shadow from the railings and gorgeous shadow pattern on the stairs.
ReplyDeleteI also like that weathered wood and the shadow in photo #3.
ReplyDeleteGood shadows like today. Cool shots, EG!
ReplyDeleteIt does look chilly.
ReplyDeleteRailings always make for such great shadows. I hope spring pays you a visit soon! Lovely pics.
ReplyDeleteI would love to bring a chair and just sit there.
ReplyDeleteI love how you capture the play of light, shadow, and line, but BBBRRRR!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting (and creative) shadow captures.
ReplyDeleteOh, brrr!! It still looks cold there-in spite of the warm sun and shadows!
ReplyDeleteLove the line and shadows in these shots.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's getting slightly warmer, at least!

ReplyDeleteI do like those railings and shadows. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteshadows are good, that means you have sunshine... and that bent railing is really cool.
ReplyDeleteIt does feel chilly!
ReplyDeleteA very nice series of shots - excellent compositional values (does that sound fotolosopheric?)
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh!
Our blue herons are year round birds. In fact, we have Canadian gooses here year round, too. Even when we want them to go up north and poop!
