Horse farm
This fence made me smile with its temporary fix, a branch to convince the horses they can not go out onto the long driveway on the other side. Hey, it appears to work!
A few weeks ago, I saw a list of fill-ins in on Rose's blog. I copied the list and filled in the blanks for the first five here. Next I filled the next five here ann the third five here. Now here's 16 through 20:
16. If I were a colour I'd be forest green or dark blue. But, truth be told, I don't have a favourite colour.
17. If I were an emotion I'd be contented, satisfied (for the most part) with things as they are. When I am contented I see beauty everywhere and find joy in "little things."
18. If I were a fruit I'd be a juicy apple (my favourite fruit) or a big red strawberry (my other favourite fruit).
19. If I were a sound I'd be the gentle rustle of wind passing through leaves on a tree.
20. If I were a car/truck I'd be...Hey! What do I know about cars and trucks? For sure I'd be small, fuel efficient and dependable with super snow tires.
I am linking to Good Fences HERE
The horses clearly know what's what!
ReplyDeleteAs long as it works, that branch is fine and dandy!
ReplyDeleteI may have to borrow your borrowed list btw. =D
The grass on the other side of the fence is clearly not any greener - just more snow.
ReplyDeleteHi I am enjoying reading your answers and it is branch works but I would not rely on it. Horses can jump!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that list, and I am like you I know nothing about cars!! Love your photo of the fence.
ReplyDeleteAs long as it works I guess.
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that...and it worked until we got to it!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful fence picture, and if they believe it, it's serving it's purpose :))
ReplyDeleteAnd I like your answers again, # 17 is my favourite :))
Have a beautiful day

it probably works ok in the mean time!
ReplyDeleteI've lived in the US west and southwest my whole life and temporary fixes like this common place and temporary can mean decades. It does have a certain charm though.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that they say EG, 'necessity is the mother of invention' :) excellent!
ReplyDeleteI would be a tangerine.. my favorite fruit, and it is also round and fat. LOL
ReplyDeletemy sound is the beat of drums, i love drums and that is how i lived my life, marching to the beat of a different drum.
love the fake fence. silly horses
It has charm the land . The horses just like there comfort zone. They have a good thing.
ReplyDeleteRoaming and being fed.
In that snow I'd do a temporary fix too!
ReplyDeleteI saw Rose's list and copied it. Haven't done it yet but I like that you did a few at a time.
Oh gosh that wouldn't fool my Little Man for five seconds..he would be trying to walk right through it. LOL! I like your answers- # 19- that's one of my favorite sounds. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteIf you were a fruit, you'd be in danger around me! Sounds delicious...
ReplyDeleteVery neat fix! Reminds me of something MacGyver would come up with.
Really nice fence shot! I like their creative "fix" to it.
ReplyDeleteThe fence fix is clever, wonder if they will actually re-do it when the snow melts. Enjoyed your list.
ReplyDeleteDarla
It's good the fence does its work :)
ReplyDeleteFun to read about you, if you were.. :)
that makes me laugh, but i've used a lot of trees and limbs here, too! :) garden hoses work well as ropes, too!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you about colors...I don't really have a favorite, and sometimes I think it must be green because I end up buying a lot of green fabric. But then yellow always makes me happy...I do not like working with black, yet I like it in other quilts, for shoes, for clothing for other people!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I like the fence 'fix,' too.
Me?
ReplyDeleteAm I Blue?
Laughter= best meds
Grapes, just hangin'
cat purring
Jag in my drive!
Great ingenuity!
ReplyDelete:) Very nice photos!
ReplyDeleteVery clever fix, whatever works!
ReplyDeleteThat is a creative fix!
ReplyDeleteThe branch gives the fence a bit of pizzazz, doesn't it? It's a simple solution but if it works it's good.
ReplyDeleteI like your list, especially the last one! (My daughter would say either a mini cooper or a Fiat 500).
Tree branches make great fences.
ReplyDeleteAh, make use of what we have!! Works for me and another great capture for the day! Hope you have a beautiful weekend! Stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteThe fence works at least for a while.
ReplyDeleteGreat fix on the fence! Nice shot of it! I wanted to thank you for your idea about using Rose's list five at a time for Random 5's. I did my first five this week, and added a link to both your blog and Rose's. I've loved your answers!
ReplyDeleteI imagine doing a proper job on fixing the fence has to wait until the snow is gone, but that's a good improvisation.
ReplyDeleteLove the improvised fix...
ReplyDeleteGreat fill ins for hard questions. Clever idea on the fence fixup.
ReplyDeleteIt makes it look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSorry, peach for me! :-)
it is so difficult to find great fruit these days. i love when we do though. i love really any sort. not picky there. i will have to go & check out these questions. sounds fun!! have a great day! love your snowy fencing. ( ;
ReplyDeleteA repaired branch fence, cool! They use what is at hand!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like my husband's kind of fence repair :)
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteMy whole life is a temporary fix. I'll get to it, someday!

I think with most farm animals if it looks like a fence it works as a fence. The photo made me smile as I've seen a few fixes like that from time to time on this farm, too.
ReplyDeleteClever thinking and it sure looks like it does the job. I had to take a second look to see the branch...
ReplyDeleteSweet photo
That is a creative fix--using what's on hand. Nice find!
ReplyDeleteIf something works, it works! High tech fixes are not necessarily better. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat find. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be 17 too... contended!
