Green Heron

 Green Heron

Hunting at a distance from me so this is severely cropped. And the heron was not hunting in the best light, but still I waited and waited for some action and...

Shake that delicious looking froggie!

it was worth the wait.

  9. That 2nd shot is just delightful (well, except for the frog)! I think we have these green herons here but am not sure. Blue herons, yes. Green, maybe.

  17. We have one like that in our backyard pond. He grabs frogs too. Amazing how they can handle a big frog like that!
