Talking Turkey

 Tom Turkey

Monday is Canadian Thanksgiving (although my family is celebrating on Sunday) so Tom Turkey wants to wish all my Canadian readers a happy Thanksgiving weekend.  Tom Turkey is not very worried as he is a main attraction at a Muskoka cranberry marsh.  He reasons the owners there still need him. BUT...

UH-OH!

he hasn't thought very far ahead.  What about Christmas dinner?

  14. Poor turkeys. Anvilcloud's comment makes me wonder if wild turkeys are safe. Not if they live in Texas or New Mexico or Arizona (and I"m sure other places). Turkey season opens for these big birds very shortly. My father brought home a wild turkey for Thanksgiving dinner many, many times!

  21. It's a great weekend for Thanksgiving! Could you ask for better fall weather? That old Tom better watch out and maybe slim down and cut back on the grain if he wants to live to see another fall. He looks nice and plump right now ;)
