Green Thumb's Scavenger Hunt

 a. Stranger

The woman climbing the passenger car steps is a stranger. Actually, she is also a photo bomb who entered the picture when I was trying to get a candid shot of the conductor (also a stranger) about to board the Tottenham excursion train.

 b. Looking Down

I was standing on a bridge.

c. Pop Culture

Maybe not today's pop culture, true, but it certainly was five to 15 years ago!

d. Weather

It was a windy day, the reason she was holding onto her hat. (Yep, I could have used this for letter i below.)

e. Big

Left over from Halloween, I think, these giant mushrooms reached to the top of the downstairs windows of an art gallery.

f. Sign

Do you believe this sign?

g. Bottle

Three bottles beneath these partying gods. (I think they are gods, but I could be totally wrong about that.)  It's part of a store display.

h. Out and About

Two girls out for a walk in a public park.

i. Hat

Bright, fluffy hat and mitts that on a cold day would be much appreciated.

j. Hole

I don't know who made this hole - and I did NOT put my hand in to find out.

k. One

Just one fuzzy caterpillar out for a walk. It didn't stop to tell me where it was going.

l. Whatever

Is it too early to post something Christmas-y?

I am linking to Greenthumb's Scavenger Hunt  HERE,

  7. It was fun to see what you found for each letter. Of course I had to stop and look at that hat and mitts for more than a minute. Did you knit those?

  11. of course it is not to early for Christmas photos, i put my Dec header up 3 days ago ... and a lot of our neighbors are all lit up at night and beautiful. love the sign but not sure i agree, the funny thing is when i saw the bottle pic, i did not even SEE the 3 bottles until i read the name under, i saw only the statues.. love the toad stools and the wind photo says wind all by itself, the clothing tells even if holding the hat was missed. i like the lady bomb and love that photo

  14. An enjoyable selection of photos :) Those cozy hats and mitts are perfect for the upcoming weather. That is quite the store display, and I nearly missed the bottles, too! Little did the stranger boarding the train know that she was going to be travelling through cyberspace as well ;)

  16. Very beautiful and interesting series of photos. I absolutely love the Fall scene where you are looking down (from a bridge)at the train tracks and beautiful fall foliage. The scene conjures up feelings of nostalgia and contentment. I think it comes from watching old TV series "Rainbow Country" (and one other which name escapes me at present). Even though the programs were in B & W, I could see the beautiful array of colours in my child's mind. Have a great week!

  17. That is quite a scavenger hunt. A geocacher would have stuck his hand in the hole, and I have the doctor bills to prove it.

  19. The photo bomb stranger is funny! That's what she gets for walking in at the last second. Nice interpretations, and no, it's not too soon to think about Christmas!

  21. I enjoyed seeing all your photos but the one for looking down is amazing. Such depth in that photo; it feels like it's real. I hope you're having a good week. And, no it's not too early for Christmas! Pat xx

  22. I really like those giant mushrooms. They'd make excellent garden ornaments for my yard. The fuzzy caterpillar up close reminds me of a bottle brush

  23. Not too early now to post Christmas-y photos. I've loved all of your photos and interpretations. The giant mushrooms are interesting, the caterpillar looks like a brush head, the woolly hat is lovely and I like Stranger and looking down too:)

  24. I enjoyed your scavenger photos, EGCG, although that fuzzy caterpillar gave me a shiver. I enjoyed all your vibrant and interesting photos. Looking down made me feel homesick because everything about it reminded me of when I lived in the Sioux Lookout area as a girl. Those mushrooms were something else! Have a great weekend!

  25. Really enjoyed your selection - it's always interesting seeing another country through them. Loved the giant mushrooms and the fuzzy caterpillar. Interesting to see the North American (or just Canadian??) covers of the Harry Potter books too - the paperbacks are the same but the hardbacks are completely different. x
