a. The letter B
A bit skewed, but it IS a B, isn't it? Yep, you would be correct to think...
Original photo
this is the top of a window that has been turned 90° and cropped.
b. Week's favourite photo
It's never easy for me to choose a favourite photo, but this blue jay was delighted to find a peanut not grabbed by local squirrels.
c. Outdoors
Ice formed on the creek when the water was a tad higher but stuck to the cattail stems when the water lowered a bit.

This blue bird is beautiful! This shot is fantastic! Great! I greet! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the happy Blue Jay, EG!
ReplyDeleteI really like the bird, too. Now, if he can just find a good table, with the right linens and silverware and a glass of wine, he'll be all set!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your bluejay. I saw many when back home this holiday, but couldn't get any shots of them. They're too quick, or I'm too slow!
ReplyDeleteThe B is brilliant EG! And such a cute little fellow!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the B and knew what it was and still loved it. and the bird is so funny, like the peanut is way to big for him but he will have it.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds… I love the ice on the water.
ReplyDeleteThe first 2 finds are brilliant! It's a perfect B, and the Blue Jay is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAh, your pics have taken my breath away one more time, EG!! I love them, of course, as always!! The blue jay is priceless!! Thank you for the smiles and the giggles! Have a wonderful weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThat jay is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteVery creative! xx
ReplyDeleteNo ice like that here yet.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye to find the letter "B" in that window. What a great photo of the bluejay with the peanut. So cute! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat us a happy bluejay and a great shot of him. I have not seen any around the house so far this winter and really hope they visit someone else instead of here. They eat all of my other birds’ food. The B capture is really cool Very clever.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheeky wee jay!
ReplyDeleteYes,that is a B,why not. I love the ice photo,of course the Blue Jay is always a stunning beauty.
ReplyDeleteIridescent Jay, and good eye crop fun!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to the alphabet, we have to use whatever we can find!
ReplyDeleteLove the Jay, and the ice on the creek is beautiful!
Have a great week-end!
Lea
Thank you so much for joining in. Very creative for the letter B! Those birds amaze me when they take those whole peanuts. I love that shot for outside. The ice reminds me of a painter's pallet.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! We have two different kinds of jays here: Scrub Jays and Stellar's Jays.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would be so happy with that Blue Jay pic, too.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Blue Jay image!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue jay. That peanut is almost too big for his mouth!
ReplyDeleteVery clever with the B shot and I love the Jay photo
ReplyDeleteClever! That's a perfect B. Blue Jays are funny. We had one that wouldn't leave unless it had two peanuts crammed in there. Sometimes it took a while to get just the right sizes, but I guess it didn't want to make two trips--someone else might get to the peanuts before it could get back. Nice outdoor scene, capturing the broken layer of ice.
ReplyDeleteYou have found a perfect B. The Blue Jay is very pretty and he got a peanut bonus!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Great "B."
ReplyDeleteLove the blue jay. We don't have as many of them in Washington as we did in California...and yours have prettier markings, I think, than our scrub and Stellar's jays.
Great collection. I like your "B" shot, very creative. The Blue Jay is beautiful. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWonderful ABC, I'll be waiting for DEF.
ReplyDeleteCool shots and I love the frame on window! Hope the bird don’t swallow the peanut along the shell.
ReplyDeleteI like the ice apron around the cattails. But you outdid that with the blue jay shot.
ReplyDeleteWell I'll B. That was clever of you.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your photography! No I remember who it is that's doing the letter photos...can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI love the Blue Jay - I so miss them. We don't have them here in Montana. I used to love watching them when I lived in NJ. I do have magpies which are very entertaining cousins.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that B, how creative! And the blue Jay looks like hes gonna swallow that peanut whole but great picture!
ReplyDeletePretty pictures all the way, Ms. EGTG. I like your 'finds' for the letters so far. I think "C" will be a picture of the crescent Moon. But tonight is officially the "New Moon" so hurry.
ReplyDelete..
Clever "B", I love it!! The jay certainly does look pleased with his peanut. :)
ReplyDeleteAha, you sneaky gal turning that window on its side - makes a really nice 'B' though! Great shot of the blue jay, I miss having a feeder on our raised deck to capture the birds.
ReplyDeleteRaining all day and turning to snow this afternoon, rollercoaster weather as Frankie Flowers likes to say.
Your B is very clever. Both the peanut guzzling bird and ice circling the cat tails are amazing!
