ooooo that's gotta be itchy!
ReplyDeleteSmall town general stores of years gone by were a shopping experience!
ReplyDeleteMy uncle ran a store very similar to this in Kansas back when I was growing up. I loved to visit there!
ReplyDeleteA beautifully executed mural recalling a long-lost age.
ReplyDeleteyikes on the wool underwear, i am wondering if that would be what we called long johns.. you always find fab photos of windows, now you found a fab photo of a painting of windows. i do love this mural.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteI definitely laughed about the woolen underwear! Scratchy stuff I'll bet! Love the mural! It's a classic.
ReplyDeleteA classic mural indeed and superb captures as always, EG!!! I did have to chuckle like Kathy about woolen underwear!! Your posts are always a beautiful way to start my day!! Thank you!! Have a beautiful day!!
ReplyDeleteBoth elements of it look quite realistic!
ReplyDeleteI love the mural and also the underwear ad! There is a shop building and the original name in a nearby town. I remember it from the late 50's looking a lot inside like your pictures above. Today it's a Chinese supermarket, but the facade is still the same. Good memories from reading your post, Tina. Thanks
ReplyDeleteWool underwear. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteWhat an attractive mural. I guess I'm getting old because the picture has a comfortable, familiar feel to it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely mural and yes the underwear ad made me laugh too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful mural! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the mural, EG! I haven't dragged out the longjohns yet this winter but I would pass on wool ones.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty charming, EG.
ReplyDeleteThey are really beautiful! I love them!
ReplyDeleteWonderful signs and murals :)

ReplyDeletecapturing an almost forgotten world
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful murals depicting days gone by.
ReplyDeleteLovely mural full of nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteAll wool underwear sounds a little itchy to me!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be my FAVORITE mural that have been posted since I started following the meme. It appeals to me like an Anne of Avonlea. I would love to have lived in that period of time. The sign is a great one. I love the entire post.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully depicted murals of earlier times.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Ive only seen scenes like this in movies. How cool this mural commemorates a real place in time. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
