Three Red Barns

 Local barn

I've been looking through my "archives" lately and have discovered some red barns.  The first one ALWAYS has a lot of "stuff" out front but the day I made this photo it was relatively clear.

 Surrounded by evergreens

The second had been repurposed as an antiques store, but by the time I made this photo is was back to being a simple old red barn.

A newer barn

The third one is more modern and has - in spring and summer - a beautiful vineyard and garden out front...but it's difficult to see the barn. Now you can see the barn but the garden looks a bit scraggly.

  6. Hey, what's the point of having a barn if you can't park a lot of stuff around it!

  8. Well, you have some treasures in your archives. Hope yours are better organized than mine. That one with all its machinery and snow and the paint wasting away is beautiful. It looks like one I would see here in my area. The green roof and the interestingly paned windows in the second shot are so pretty. The third one there in the distance makes for a gorgeous winter rural landscape. This is a lovely post.

  11. Love the red barns in the snow. Farms are often quiet during winter months, especially with no animals around.

  12. Funny how they repurpose and then let them go back to ruin! So many unused farm houses these days.

  15. Wow, these are all three real beauties. Each has so much barn appeal. I think the last tugs at my heart a bit the most, probably cause of the blue sky.

  16. Nothing like a red barn. So classic!

  17. All three are huge. And I guess the third one answers my question as to whether grapes can be grown in a snowy climate.
