Green barn somewhere near Lindsay, Ontario
I'm still on a quest for green barns. BUT believe it or not, these two were already in my photo files. The first was taken in November before snow fell. Some of the grass near the barn is green. Don't you just love the foundation made of rocks? There's so much just-cut cow corn in the fields that I'm sure this is a barn for cattle.
Somewhere near Barrie, Ontario
The second photo was made in December. The barn looks a lot newer than the one above. It's located near Barrie, probably Innisfil. It's in good condition but has a big green dumpster out front. Hm. At the left of the barn are bales of hay, probably for cows or horses.
I am joining the Barn Collective HERE
These are a couple fine barns. That first one reminds me of those in eastern South Dakota where my Dad grew up. I love the stone foundation. I love exploring those old barns. Lots and lots of stuff to see.
ReplyDeleteI also like the more modern barn.
For some reason we have very few big barns here in Oklahoma.
I like this green color. Here in Kentucky we have a lot of black barns for tobacco.
ReplyDeleteI love barns they remind me my childhood !
ReplyDeleteGreen barns are unique and great looking, Good luck finding them. Both of these look to be used for their intended purpose. Thanks for your comment this morning. I liked the pig also, but it didn't taste anything like pork.
ReplyDeleteI love your barns! Very different to those we see in Australia!
ReplyDeleteTIs a beauty and i do love that stone. even like the green color
ReplyDeleteI love the color on that first beautiful barn. We have a green barn south of us near Eau Claire, but it is rare to see a green barn in these parts. They're usually red or white.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised at how large these are...must be on pretty big spreads. I do like the green even if it doesn't comport with what the color of a barn should be in my fragile mind! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth very nice barns! I like the second one best. Great color combination - green with reddish roof!
ReplyDeleteNeat, green a color I rarely see on barns in this area. Thanks so much for sharing at The Barn Collective and I hope that your quest for green barns continues.
ReplyDeleteWell maintained barns
ReplyDeleteTwo shades of green for two beautiful barns!
ReplyDeleteThey are very different from the barns we see here. It´s always a pleasure to see barns like these!
ReplyDeletenicely shaped barns but i am not sure i like the green. it is unusual i think but i am certainly no expert!!!! nice captures!!!!
ReplyDeletewe don't see green barns often. love the color. so pretty & happy! ( ;
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting, each has their own charm, and the second one even has a green railroad car too!
ReplyDeleteNice green barns in the midst of gold fields.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barns and great shots!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy Week ~ ^_^
refreshing one.
ReplyDeleteIncredible....for the life of me, I'm going through my memory card [the one in my brain] and I can't EVER remember seeing a barn all 'dressed in green'. And you found TWO!
ReplyDeleteAs I said, incredible.
Very nice. Green barns have to be harder to find than red, white, or black barns!
ReplyDeleteBoth are quite appealing!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love barns - it's a sign of country. I greet! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are fabulous but the first one is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteBoth are nice but I prefer the first one!
ReplyDeleteI like this green barn, great shots. Have a happy new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see a barn of another color than red for a change.
ReplyDeleteI really like the top one, EG!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...green barns...I honestly don't know of any around here but that first one is GREAT!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteDumpster just reminds us that it's a working farm.
ReplyDeleteGreen barns are so unusual. It is interesting that these two green ones are such different greens. I think I will go with the first one. I like the way you developed it.
ReplyDeleteI don't see many barns (as I expect them to be) here and yours are just great to see.
ReplyDeleteThat first one is huge! And one that I love...love that stone foundation. Love just everything about it. the second is a beauty, too...
ReplyDeletereally nice.
ReplyDeleteUnusual barns, EG. Green barns are quite unusual. The first one is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is so beautiful. Love the color!
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine the work that goes into one of those stone foundations? I haven't seen one around here but we have so many rocks in our soils (called "Sequim potatoes) there'd be no shortage of supplies.
ReplyDeletenot so many barns here and they are red.
ReplyDeleteI typically think barns should be red, but these two look really nice in green. Hope your quest for more is successful. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and your comment :-)
ReplyDeleteYou're also very beautiful pictures in your blog.
So I see a bit of Canada :-)
There is something about a barn!
ReplyDeleteReally nice barns!
ReplyDeleteThe first barn looks huge than the pretty new below. Good to see more green barns from your side.
ReplyDeleteLooking at these, I realize that I have never seen a green barn!
