I've been walking past that nice pond too. York Regional Forest, right? Do you go in from McCowan or 48? We usually park at the big parking lot at 48, then walk to the pond and back. We used to take the kids tobogganning on the big hill by the parking lot. I put my back out there once, scooting down the hill out of control! But since I don't have a dog to walk any more, I rarely go there, specially through the summer, too many mozzies.
X-S, We enter from from either side, but usually from McCowan. Sometimes we enter from Cherry Street, but that hill IS treacherous! I'm not surprised you hurt your back!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.
