Old-Style Cottage/ Sepia Scenes

Older cottage on the shore of the canal at Buckhorn, Ontario

Abandoned till next spring, I suspect, this cottage is far away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Simple. Exactly what you want in a cottage.

Oh boy, this I like. Looks so nice with such clean lines. Hopefully, not a lot of work to maintain...

I think I'd love it here.

this cottage. I think it has my name on it--see you in the Spring. MB

Hey half my words disappeared---nobody listens to me anyway. LOL

I think what I said was that I really liked this cottage. MB

I like it, right down to the picnic table in the yard.

Ah this is my dream: trees, water and house, all very simple, just for me!
:-)
Beautiful image that is a dimension
of existence!

Before I thoroughly read your description, I thought you took this from a boat, but then I thought maybe you were by one of the locks. My parent always loved driving up to Buckhorn Lake and eating at the restaurant by the lock.

Love the not total sepia look but the cottage looks kind of new to me.

This would make a great little secret hideaway by the water!

I would treasure a little place like that on the water! All those windows to let the light in . . . but I would be outside most of the time, near the water!

Doesn't that look inviting!

The boat looks forlorn, sitting on a trailer on land. The cottage is lovely, the screened in porch the place to be in mosquito season. The combination of water and woods allows us to unwind most of the year - except winter in Ontario!

Hi.

Google image search brought me to your page. That is a cottage @ Three Castles Resort in downtown Buckhorn, Ontario (I know since I live just around the corner and have family that have vacationed in that exact cottage each summer since the late 1950's). I have old 8mm real from the late 50's and early 60's of that cottage!

I am very pleased with this web page that you created. The layout of the page looks extremely professional. I also liked the wording very much.
