Hole in the Clouds/ Sky Watch

Sun shining like a spotlight onto field

Notice there are thick fluffy clouds everywhere  except for one big hole where the sun shone through creating  a circle of light on the farm field in the lower left.

Better a hole in the clouds than in the head!

Lovely farm scene. Clouds and sky are always fascinating. I think the Angels are playing peek-a-boo. MB

That is such a lovely scene...wish I was in it.

Lucky farm. We have a similar phenomenon down here...bright and sunny on one side of the street, dark clouds and rain on the other!

Great shot. I love the way the sun just illuminates small areas like that occasionally, it's like magic.

Beautiful sky over the farm. I love holes in the clouds like this one you shot. They give a special light.

Mary,
It was an extraordinary morning because the light was incredibly beautiful. It looks blue in the distance because I was standing on a hill (you can see I was above the tops of the trees in front of the farmer's fields) and the distance is far, far away through haze.

However, I did lighten the photo a tad and I also sharpened it a bit.

Most of the photos I took that morning have faded blue in the distance. :)

Excellant catch EG, I bet that didn't stay around long.

PS SOunds like you do have the green going strong in your town. That's great. We have a lot of similar things but not the public composting or chemical restrictions. They neighbors think I'm nuts weeding my lawn by hand. :)

funny, I saw a hole too yesterday, one side was quite a square, but from the photo, it disappeared.

How's your weather? Getting warm now? We are freezing, and one ski filed is already opened. And this is just May!!!!!
