Stouffville Pond/Watery Wednesday

Pond behind a lumberyard, Stouffville, Ontario

Last Saturday the sky was clear and the water glassy.

I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.

There's a great reflection there: the contrast beween blue and yellow/brown is great.

Lovely image! Quite often here in FL here are ponds behind or next to shopping centers or commercial buildings -- they are wetlands mitigation ponds and, as I understand it, when developers build in our area (which is essentially one big wetland) they have to add some kind of water to make up for what they've paved over.

Is this the same pond that had the ice a few days ago? Super reflections.

A lumberyard doesn't sound very romantic, but the photo is! Love the still water and the reflections.

Red Pat and Shammickite,

This pond is behind Century Mill Lumber on Stouffville Road.

Red Pat,

The other pond (the one that still has ice on it) is the reservoir a few kilometres north and east of this one.
