Happiness is.../Sunday Best

Happiness in a beautiful spring day

This oriole was singing a lovely song -  a very happy bird!

I was pretty happy too as I am usually able to get this close to an oriole.

The picture is great, I'll bet it was even better with the sound effects.

I can almost hear it across "the pond" :-)

You really got that very well in the first shot.

One of my favorite birds but no matter what I do, I can't attract them to my yard. Beautiful shots!

They are a pretty bird. One spring we had one that knocked on our windows for about four days. Not sure what that was all about.

Lovely bird - we don't have them here, but do get their "kissing cousin" the Bullock's

Don't see many orioles down this way...fine photos of a gorgeous creature. We have mostly meadowlarks (at least that's what I think they are) and they do sing a lot. We also have a bunch of Canadian gooses who must have lost their way 'cause they want to stay even though it's getting quite warm. :-)

I am a baseball fan, so I know about orioles from the Baltimore team. But, I have never seen an oriole in real life. Weird.

Caught in mid song! Perfect timing. I usually only catch a glimpse of them in springtime.
