K/Alphabe-Thursday

Boy admiring his new face in a mirror

K is for KIDS

Maybe kids have changed since we were young, and perhaps they are a lot the same. What do you think?

When you were a kid, would you have liked to have a face painter invent a new you for an afternoon?

Future tycoon

Okay, every kid has liked making money, right? Well, don't mess with this guy - buy some of his lemonade! You hear?!

 Yesterday's kids or today's?

Kids in 2013 enjoying an old-fashioned game of tug-o-war.

Waiting on the dock for the ferry to arrive

Here the pink and purple plus the characters on the suitcases are very today, otherwise these girls could almost be from another time.

As these photos prove, life doesn't change for kids. Then or now.

that little tycoon to be is so adorable... kids have changed, we were talking about that yesterday, our neighborhood has zero kids outside. we were trying to remember when we saw a child in a yard other than the under 5 three next door. they do go to parks like these, but they don't play outside their houses.

Love the Lemonade Entrepreneur! No, no face painting when I was a kid, but we did have some pink and purple.

I don't think kids have the freedom to come and go that kids did in the past. Some things remain the same though.

It is funny how when a photo is black and white it seems to be from another era. All the kids are adorable. The superhero mask is awesome and the little boy in the chair reminds me of a movie director.

Oh that second shot did make me laugh EG, he is definitely going to be a force to reckon with :) My daughter always does the face painting at the kiddies parties in the family, she has queues forming from the minute she sets up!

Kids these days always seem to have someone watching over them unlike when we were kids running wild in the 'hood!

Kids are my very favorite life form! Great shots...

Cool shots! No face-painting when I was a kid. I would have thought that was stupid and furthermore I was way too busy riding bike, playing football, doing gymnastics, delivering newspapers, etc. for such foolishness!

I think kids are pretty much the same, maybe a little more mature in some ways. And the world seems to be spinning faster! {:-Deb

Although I do feel like teenagers are forced to grow up rather fast today.
