Is it Spring Yet?

Waiting for spring

Last week when I was out walking around Southlake Hospital in Newmarket, I spied a few evidences of springlike wishful thinking. It was still cold but the woman in the dark red jacket was out dreaming of warming weather...or so it looked like to me. Moving clockwise, two mallards searched areas in and around a creek for a suitable nesting spot; a Canada goose considered taking a cool, fresh swim; a woman swept winter street sand away from the entrance to her driveway,  a mallard swam in between sheets of ice, and lots of snow melted alongside a creek.

YAY! Snowdrops!

I am Linking to Mosaic Monday HERE

Dearest EG CameraGirl;
Wow; Kind of sweet captures of awaiting spring!!! Your beautiful picture of snowdrops gives us warm feeling♡♡♡

Thank you so much for your comment and I thought you are right♪
Today we have STRONG wind and rain. Poor cherry blossoms, they are so transient.

Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Our weather looks to be similar. Traces of snow in the city, more out this way. Flowers pushing upwards.

I haven't seen any snowdrops yet, but I think they are probably out there. Looks like spring weather will be there soon. We are supposed to get some today. My fingers are crossed.

These are good times, when the dream of spring begins to form and blossom across the land. The air is fresh and it's good to be alive.

Your collage is very nicely done!

Clearly, good things are coming to those who wait.

The promise of spring is best when its kept. And it seems that your wishes will soon be heard. Lovely images of the transitional period.

Despite everything I know about weather and climate it still comes as a surprise to find that the seasons progress in different ways in different lands.

It is funny being in BlogLand...I see the Southern bloggers posting their flowers and spring porches and talking about planting this and that...and here, spring is just mostly still at the dirty and mud season, lol..so I would say it IS spring, but it's just not anything to enjoy at this point..seeing your snowdrops helps immensely :)

These are all good shots and I love seeing the snowdrops. Mine didn't bloom this year. I fear I let the honeysuckle overrun the area where they used to come up.

Spring was always the shortest season in Toronto. It's like you skip from snow to heat in the span of 10 days. :) Glad to see things are warming up.

Good wind up for the end of winter. Surely it will soon be spring in your area.
