Red-roofed Barn

East Gwillimbury countryside

This time of year the grass and trees are such beautiful shades of green, the fields newly plowed and planted.  Driving over the crest of a hill yesterday, I just had to stop and take a photo of this red-roofed barn surrounded by greens and browns.

Zoomed in on the red roof and new green leaves and grass

Lovely colours - you can't go far wrong with red and green; complimentary colours if I remember the theory aright.

You do live in a beautiful area with that rolling countryside and lovely farms. Red-headed woodpeckers and red-roofed barns. Hard to beat that!

These are neat. I came across some really blindingly red roofed barns on the road trip. I think I have pictures to show, somewhere, someday.

And summer is upon us! The yellow bird (red baron crop duster) was out this morning, zooming over my house. Our fields are still pretty wet though- these look just right!

Awesome shot of the 2nd image. The red roofed barn really pops against all that green and brown. Wonderful!
