Yellow Warbler

Yellow Warbler (Setophaga petechia)

Looks to me like this female Yellow Warbler is gathering materials for a nest. She was very, very busy!

A mouthful of what appears to be spider web silk

Such a bright and pretty little bird in these excellent photos. I am wondering if that is spiderwebs or hair...whatever it is, it sure looks fine.

Very beautiful colors, especially the contrast of the yellow color of the Warbler against the green background!
Chaka has a lot of fur to donate, if the Warbler needs more building material for the nest :)
Have a Wonderful Day, Tina!
Peace :)

As always, your post makes me sad that I don't have a strong connection (other than you) with nature.

What a great shot of such a bright and cheerful bird! I keep trying, but they are so fast-moving that I mostly end up with "blurry butt" shots :-)

What a great shot! She's hard at work.

Hope it's a success. It's not easy being a warbler. Wind and storms in your area can be devastating to the poor little ones. And there are always crows watching and waiting to steal a nestling. I always have to be careful when I come upon a nest because there is nothing more intelligent than a hawk or corvid(jay or crow) waiting patiently in silence for the attack.
