Autumn Sailing

Whitby Harbour in late September

Diehard sailors are still out and about even though it's now officially autumn.  It was late in the afternoon and this sailor had stayed out on Lake Ontario as long as possible before returning to harbour.

I like this fence (which I admit I have photographed many times) decorated with anchors.

T/Alphabe-Thursday

 Colour in Algonquin Provincial Park

This week Alphabe-Thursday is celebrating the Letter and here T stands for TREES.

Yesterday, my husband and I spent the day in Algonquin Provincial Park where the trees have turned golds, oranges and reds.  The day started out
foggy...

and ended overcast...but in between the sky was delightful, even turning blue at midday.

Blue sky reflected in the river at lunchtime

I like the contrast of the colourful hardwood leaves with the dark green of the spruce and pine trees.

Reflections in the river on Opeongo Road

And of course I love the relections!
