Mama Duck and Ducklings

Mama and two of her babies

I was hoping this duck would move in closer but, sadly, she saw me and slowly swam away.
Isn't she lovely?

I think she's a mallard hybrid but I'm not sure. Can anyone identify her?
I am linking to Saturday Critters HERE.

  2. The lighter nape and eyebrow strike me as a little unusual, but otherwise she looks very much like a female Mallard.

  23. She is of the bird genus and the duck species. She's also got a lot of brown and two wee duckies. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
