Serious photographer with serious lens
Last weekend my husband had an overnight from the hospital and since the weather was awesome, we went birding for a few hours. The guy above was also out looking for birds. I have no idea what he was looking at through that lens as mine isn't that strong. All I could see were mallards, Canada geese, one Great Blue Heron away off in the distance, and him. Luckily for me, he was casting a neat reflection.

FYI: The hospital released my husband on Wednesday after 99 1/2 days. I'm glad that's over!

That photographer, along with his reflection, makes for a more interesting photo than the close-up bird photos he might have been shooting with that huge lens. Nicely done.

ReplyDeleteI've seen lenses like that before and although I have lusted after them, once I see the strength needed to lug them around, realize that I couldn't do it. You got a fantastic reflection of him.
That is an impressive lens,but like Gail said,I would not be able to carry it around ,so,I'll let him have it. You got some good shots.Glad to hear your Hubby has been released.

ReplyDeleteI love that first shot. He's an intense photographer. And the lens - well, that thing would ring up about $15-20K I think. Yesterday I read an article about photographers hurting themselves by assuming crazy positions to get their photos. This guy looks pretty comfy, though.
That is quite a lens the guy is using! I can't imagine lugging something like that around. The pond and reflection is really nice. I'm so happy that your husband got home after all that time! Blessings to you both! All the best. Pam

Congratulations to having your hubby home, that is quite a stretch in a hospital, sleeping in his own bed has got to be heavenly! That is A camera, I wonder what he was shooting, this is what a young friend of mine (12) would call a talking photo :-) super capture.

ReplyDeleteSo glad that he's out :) As to that photo what a lens! I wish I'd had my camera out not too long ago. I looked out my kitchen window and there was a HUGE hawk..just sitting on my neighbors fence under the tree and little birds were going crazy / almost as if they were trying to attack it or something. It was certainly a full grown big hawk, not the smaller variety. Flew away when a car drove past.
