Fishing for.../ Camera Critters

Entertainment at the pond has been first rate lately.

At first I couldn't believe what this dog was doing. He kept walking up the narrow beach looking for something -- a dog on a mission. RinTinTin and Lassie had nothing on this hunter. (You all remember those classic canines, don't you? Maybe not.) As you can see, every so often he poked his face into the water. What was he trying to see? (shrugging my shoulders)
Turns out he was fishing for minnows. No, he wasn't eating them. He just enjoyed touching them with his nose or paws and watching them rush away.
And here he is trying to find any minnows that might be hiding in the very shallow water.

I's with Abe, dogs should have the freedom to do as they please. He does look a happy chappy. These are lovely critter shots.

EG: Now that's a dog close to the Fishing Guys heart. Could he herd up some minnows for me, our local bait shop went out of business. He could be very helpful.
I don't think you could find anyone who didn't love Rin-Tin-Tin snd Lassie.

So he didn’t get any?

He needs to learn that trick of the bears and the salmon runs…
