Rainbow at end of Day/ Sky Watch

Rainbow over osprey nest

Just before sunset, I waited, waited, waited for an osprey to return to its nest at the top of this light standard when a rainbow began to grow. Ha! My camera captured a rainbow but not the osprey.

Oh wow! That is a very nice huge rainbow. Did the Osprey ever return? Probably saw you there and hope you got rained on. LOL MB

A rainbow is much better than an Osprey any day! Great catch!

That's an amazing photo. Must be nice and warm for the ospreys on top of that light pole.

I'm sure your osprey photo would have been lovely; but this capture is very cool indeed.
Beautiful color in the whole image.

Beautiful. I wonder which is harder to capture with your lens, an osprey or a rainbow?

We have osprey in the UK, not here. Beautiful birds, but they do poop a lot. Gorgeous rainbow rising.

That's not a bad plan B isn't it. Rainbows always manage to bring a smile on my face.

A very impressive rainbow to be sure! You either had a long lens or were very lucky to so close to the pot of gold!

Gorgeous big fat rainbow - going to be a lot of gold there!

Your corner of the world is stunning, and you capture it's beauty well. You came away with a nice photo, and will most likely get the bird the next time.

Wow, that is one big rainbow! I have a stuffed osprey on my blog post from yesterday. Much easier than waiting around in nature. Though not nearly as satisfying.
