Looking Southerly Just Before Sunset

March 31 - almost like a fabric collage

The sun was about to set and the golden glow looking southward emphasized the texture in the fields, grass and brick. I'm imagining wide-wale and regular wale corduroy fields, and plush velvet grass. The bricks are coarsely woven wool.

Did a drunk driver plough through the fields? LOL

It is interesting one side of the field is plouhed in a straigh line, and the other is slanted.
Have a good Easter.

I like it---corduroy fields. a weave and a warp. You are so clever. MB

You are so right... I was thinking corduroy and velvet too! This is a gorgeous shot!

You got that about right. Wow. It makes an impressive picture to say the least.

I chose a picture I took 55 years ago of my Patty wearing a red dress. On April Fool's Day, April 1, 1955 for theme day. Red.

I gave her a diamond engagement ring, and today, April 1, 2010 is my entry for theme day on my Brookville Daily Photo blog.

Well, I have to agree...those fields do remind me of corduroy ... another of your wonderful farm scenes, E.G.

Now, regarding your comment on The Villages - the only reason I was able to take that picture "so late" was that I have a very sturdy tripod upon which I can lean so I don't fall down!

Corduroy. It's the first thing I thought of, too.

You photographed with a painter's eye. And yes, fabric art comes to mind as well! Nicely done!

Wow, that's really neat looking and like corduroy for sure.

The lighting in this photo is just perfect -- it emphasizes the different textures. This is a wonderful photo.
