Mother's Day Snow/ My World

Surprise! Snow on May 9, 2010!

Yesterday,  much of Ontario woke up to snow. Luckily it wasn't very much and melted quickly.  I have friends whose hosta are a mushy mess and will not look good again till next year. Mine survived but I hear we may have a frost tonight.  So this is my world yesterday with a a hint of what I might see tomorrow!

Visit My World Tuesday  HERE to see tons of photos from around the world.

May snow is never any fun. But you made a good collage of what you saw.

That's a hoot! We're in Ottawa, visiting, I am not even thinking about what went on in My Muskoka . Grandbaby is the cutest thing ever!

Spring can't make up its mind, stay or go. Here in Sacramento we didn't have snow but a cold drippy day for our Mother's Day picnic.

Marvelous collage! Such gorgeous flowers! No, May snow isn't any fun at all! When I lived in Montana I had to make a trip to Salt Lake City and about two hours down the road I ran into one of the worst blizzards ever! Will never forget that nightmare, it was just me and my oldest son who was nine at the time. Talk about scary!!! Hope your sun comes back quickly! Have a great week!

Love the mosaic and the sign ... yep, I'd say watching out for snow would have been successful!

Oh, makes sense - if we have it cold, you get snow. At least you got some pretty snow-capped garden pics. Hope the blooms weren't too confused.

I hope your hostas make it. Lovely collage of sugar coated plants but I know snow isn't appreciated once the spring plants are at risk. A friend in Utah had the same problem recently and she did lose a lot of plants to off and on snow for 3 or 4 days. That's one thing about where I live in NC, we're safe by May. It's not unusual to lose plants to a hard freeze in April here but I don't ever remember it happening in May.

You had late snow and we had late rain on Mother's Day. Imagine that!

Like your flowers with snow on and the sign was suberp in this collage! Today we have had +14 C and sun in Karlshamn, Sweden. I like that! :)
