Close Encounter/ Macro Monday

Tiny bee on wild blue iris

I used my zoom lens to take this photo so the bee (or is it a  WASP?)  didn't know I was there, thank goodness.

It's a good idea to stay quite a distance away from those wasps, just in case they object to having their picture taken.

Beautiful pattern and colors on those iris petals. And you got the bee in the shot too!

Looks like a wasp to me? Nice shot. I was trimming along a wall with hand clippers one fall day and disturbed wasps, They are mean. I had no idea I could run that fast, still, I got a few stings.

Now that is just beautiful. Sometimes I use my zoom also. Easier and doesn't make a shadow either.
This is great. MB

Since its feeding on pollen and not being a predator I'm going with bee. :)
Great catch!

'close encounter'....of nature's kind. Love the purple flower.

Duranta Blossom is my macro shot for the week. I hope to see you visit with me if you can. Have a glorious Monday.

Great macro shot!
Glad you didn't get stung regardless of whether it is a bee or a wasp!

How very intriguing and pretty to see the pattern of this lovely flower with an additional bonus of a snacking wasp! The wild Orchid is enchanting in its own habitat.

Cool! I love it when I accidentally capture pictures of insects! They move so quickly that it's hard to get a good one.

I almost didn't see the insect, I was too busy looking at the lovely colour of the iris! He IS small, isn't he?
