Farm in Lake/ Weekend Reflections

Reflection of farm and clouds in shallow area of Canal Lake, Ontario

We stopped to get a photo of a great blue heron, but by the time I got out of the car the heron had disappeared! (Story of my life. LOL)

However, looking over the lake in a southerly direction I spotted this lovely reflection of a barn and clouds in the mirror of the lake at its shallow end.

Yellow pond-lily (Nuphay lutea) reflection in same area of Canal Lake

The clouds almost look like mountains. Peaceful and serene. The blue heron will become available another day.

Wow! I think you hit the trifecta -- gorgeous skies, great reflections and a beautiful pastoral scene. This is simply a wonderful picture.

Two super reflections. Serendipity. Heron gone, but that didn't stop you!

And no, we were not vain enough to buy the vane!

I like the farm shot. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your encouragement. My experiments will continue. I'm looking to shoot a lot of wide angle shots of farms in my neighborhood over the summer. Should be interesting to document the changes as the crops mature.

Wow! You might have missed the heron, but you have captured the best spot for your reflections. The lily pads look like frozen ice, neat shot!

Well worth the stop even without the heron.

The first one is a ghostly reflection while the second one is just so lovely with that lone pond lily no doubt pond-ering it's existence.
