Sundown/ Sky Watch

End of day over farmers' fields

Some evenings when their are a few clouds in the western sky, my husband and I jump into the car and head for a high spot to watch the sun go down. Yep, sunset chasers. The evening I took this photo, we guessed right and now you get to see what we saw, a cloud that looks like a giant hand catching the sun as it drops.

That certainly does look like a hand holding a ball of light. I really like the sort of twilight feeling over the land as well.

Never learn to photograph the sky when it is pretty. I always do it when I think about it and often there isn't anything pretty about it. lol

EG, can't find your e-mail. But we are moving in the fall. All is going well. Not broadcasting our moving date for good reasons!

What with my daughter's birthday, my sons being here, too, as well as my brother for my mom and dad's interment, it's been wonderfully busy.
The granddaughters are here, too, one is 2 1/2 and the other 3 months. So much fun.

Snap my wife and I have done sunset chasing for 30 odd years I get so much pleasure from watching the sun slip below the sky line . where we live the sun sets over the sea and it is so nice to case it around our headland to see the last glimpse as it disappears into the water. XXX Don

You are absolutely right to chase the sunsets! This one is brilliant!
Do you also chase sunrises? Then you have probably to go in the opposite direction! Have a nice sky Watch.

P.S.: I went to see the article about The Cathedral of the Transfiguration. It does look quite impressive, it's pretty nuts that they spent all that money on it and now don't use it, though!
